Unearthing Personal Narratives: Collage and Painting with artist Molly Flannery: 4-week session 5/16, 5/23, 5/30 & 6/6 1-3pm
Unleash your creative potential in this 4-week course exploring collage and painting. In the first session, deconstruct and reinterpret found texts and images into stunning collages that give voice to your personal story. Over the course of the next three sessions, add another dimension to your narrative by translating your original collage into a refined painting. Ease into the painting process, building your piece using just one color at first and adding the full spectrum of colors over time. Take your practice to the next level and leave with a gallery-worthy piece that holds personal meaning. All materials included.
Feeling daunted by the painting process? Don’t worry–we will support you through every stage, making it feel manageable and accessible to beginner and experienced painters alike.
